The “Sandwich” Generation: Addressing the Demands of Multigenerational Care January 21, 2026, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Simsbury Public Library, Friends Program Room Free - Register with the Senior Center by Jan. 19 Nearly half of adults in their 40s and 50s are helping their parents navigate getting older – all while working and caring for younger family members at home.  Join McLean and the Town of Simsbury Social Services for a workshop designed to support those caring for, or concerned about, aging parents. You’ll gain practical strategies for having sensitive conversations, discerning when to step in and when to step back, and exploring care options and community resources for aging parents. The party will run from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Library’s Program Room, with the Huskies game shown live on the big screen starting at 12:00 p.m. Sandwiches, snacks, desserts and drinks will be served.
