Mark Orenstein will describe and demonstrate the two types of assistive listening systems that have been installed in Eno Memorial Hall and in the Library’s Friends and Tariffville Program Rooms. The two types are (1) town-owned assistive listening receivers that must be signed out and (2) smartphone-based assistive listening where the person’s own smartphone is the receiver. For those participants who have been using their smartphones with headphones, earbuds or hearing aids for phone conversations, Mark will assist the participants in installing the assistive listening app (Listen Everywhere) into their smartphone and configuring the app for use in the above rooms.
Presented by Mark Orenstein, Board Member, Simsbury Community Media & Simsbury Public Library, Public Servant of the Year
